Yermande Women's Drum Ensemble
Founded by Safietou "Dallo" Goudiaby, a native of the Casamance region of Senegal, Yermande Women's Drum Ensemble uplifts and energizes their audiences with soul-moving rhythms and songs from across the African diaspora.
Lead drummer, Heidi Alina, has traveled to Africa numerous times.
With nearly thirty years experience teaching and performing, she has studied and performed with master drummers from all over Africa. Yermande Women's Drum Ensemble works to enhance cultural awareness and diversity throughout the region, representing the power of women coming together, through the beat of the drum, to inspire and empower others.
